I’m Kaitlin, but I prefer Katie. I’m currently an undergraduate student (only for a short few more months) majoring in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Texas Tech University. You may be wondering, “Why Balanced Blonde?” Well that’s easy. I’m a blonde, who obviously believes in the saying, “blondes have more fun”. But I also believe that it is important to live a healthy lifestyle. My goal of this blog is to share my journey with all of you as I incorporate health and wellness into a fun and fabulous life. I know “healthy” sounds boring, but I’m here to prove to you that it’s not. Indulging is perfectly fine, we all do it… and no, you should not feel guilty. Indulging is a fun part of life, so go ahead and eat that cupcake, but be sure to find balance by incorporating plenty of healthful foods into your diet. Sounds simple, but we all know it can be challenging. I’m here to show you my favorite tips and tricks to provide you with fuel for your fabulous (and at times chaotic) life, so you can go out there and do the things you really love with an abundance of healthy energy!
